About me

Spanish teacher with more than 10 years of international experience.

My name is Borja ferraz and I am a Spanish teacher who has more than 10 years of international teaching experience. Currently, I am finishing the school year at RIS (Ruamrudee International School), one of the best schools in Thailand. I am lucky enough to have offers from some of the best schools in the world in China, Dubai and Europe for example. However, I have made the decision to go back home to be closer to my family So I am moving to tutor online instead. I have experience in IB, DP, MYP, AP, GCSE and A levels. One of my specialities is preparing international Spanish certificates such us, CELU, SIELE, DELE y CCSE at all levels for both, adults and teenagers. My philosophy is to be demanding in class but at the same time make sure to provide a positive experience to my students where they can enjoy what they are doing. One of the keys to teaching is building a strong positive relationship with the students because it will have a positive impact on the learning process. I am a quite demanding teacher in regards to the expectations and commitment I require from my students. This is the only way they can achieve their maximum potential. However, the main goal is to create an enjoyable and positive experience for them because it will have a positive impact on the learning process. If the students do not enjoy what they do, it will decrease their motivation and the attitude they will have towards the learning. If a teacher is able to create a safe environment where the students feel valued and supported, it will make it more likely that students will want to repeat the experience. Besides, As an expert in emotional intelligence, I have learnt how important is to create situations where the students enjoy, feel valued and their achievements are positively reinforced. This way, their brains will generate neurotransmitters that are key in the learning process and in the short and long term memory.
