Hello! My name is Banki Zungu, and I’m a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong background in teaching young learners. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching, and I hold a Matric Certificate. In addition to my formal education, I’ve also completed a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification, which has given me the tools and confidence to teach English effectively to students of different ages and levels. I have over three years of teaching experience in the Foundation Phase at private schools, where I taught subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Life Skills. This experience has allowed me to develop strong classroom management skills, build meaningful relationships with students, and create engaging, learner-centered lessons. In my classes, I focus on making learning interactive, fun, and supportive. I use visuals, games, storytelling, and songs to keep young learners interested and motivated. I believe that every child learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style to meet each learner’s needs and help them reach their full potential. One of my proudest achievements as a teacher was organizing a reading challenge for my class, which led to a huge improvement in reading fluency and confidence among my learners. I also received positive feedback from parents and school management for my creative lesson planning and commitment to student growth. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, exploring art and crafts, and spending time in nature. These hobbies inspire me to bring creativity and calmness into my teaching approach. I’m truly passionate about education, and I look forward to continuing to help learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally—both in-person and online.
