Hi, I'm Anwar! I recently graduated with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Addis Ababa University, and alongside my studies, I've spent the last year tutoring math online to students from grade 4 all the way through grade 12. I've also been helping people with English since high school, so between the two, I've had a lot of practice explaining things clearly and patiently. What makes me a little different is my engineering background, I don't just know the steps to a problem, I understand why they work, and I try to pass that understanding on rather than just teaching shortcuts to memorize. I like to start each session by figuring out exactly where a student is getting stuck, then work through it step by step with real examples until it actually clicks — no rushing, no judgment if it takes a few tries. I organize my classes around each student's pace and goals: if you need help with a specific topic before a test, we'll focus there; if you want ongoing support to build real confidence in math over time, we'll build a plan for that instead. I'm comfortable teaching grades 4 through 12, and I'm a patient, easygoing person who genuinely enjoys watching things finally make sense for someone. Looking forward to working with you!
