About me

Hi! I’m Amir, an experienced English teacher with an MA in TEFL and a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics. I’ve been teaching English for more than five years, and I genuinely enjoy helping students become more confident English users. My classes are **friendly, interactive, and personalized**. I don’t believe that every student should follow exactly the same lesson plan, so I first try to understand your level, goals, and areas that you want to improve. We then build the lessons around what will help you make the most progress. Depending on your needs, our lessons can include conversation practice, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, or a combination of these. I like to give students plenty of opportunities to speak and use English rather than simply listening to me explain. I also use digital tools and interactive activities when they can make learning more engaging and effective. As an Applied Linguistics researcher, I care about not only *what* we learn, but also *how* you learn it. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable in my classes. Making mistakes is a normal and necessary part of learning a language, so my goal is to create a supportive environment where you can participate, ask questions, and gradually become more confident. Whether you want to improve your everyday communication, prepare for an exam, strengthen your academic English, or simply feel more comfortable speaking English, I’ll be happy to work with you!
