Hello I'm Adedoja Abisola a tutor in economics and I have a degree in economics I am a passionate and results-driven Economics Tutor with a strong academic background in Economics and four years of dedicated teaching experience at the secondary school level. Over the last four years, I have had the privilege of teaching hundreds of students across Junior Secondary (JSS) and Senior Secondary (SSS) classes, helping them not just to pass Economics, but to truly understand and appreciate how the economy works in everyday life. My journey into teaching started from my love for Economics as a course. While studying Economics in the university, I realized that many students see Economics as a difficult and abstract subject filled with graphs and theories that are hard to relate to. That misconception is what I have spent the last four years correcting in the classroom. I believe Economics is not hard — it is one of the most practical and interesting subjects if it is taught in a simple, relatable, and student-centered way. That is exactly what I do. With four years of classroom experience, I have taught all aspects of the Nigerian Secondary School Economics curriculum, from the basic concepts of wants, scarcity, scale of preference, and opportunity cost in JSS, to advanced topics like Demand and Supply, Production, Market Structures, National Income, Money and Banking, Inflation, International Trade, and Development Economics in SSS. I have extensive experience preparing students for internal and external examinations including WAEC, NECO, JAMB and GCE, and my students have consistently recorded excellent results, with many moving from D and C grades to A’s and B’s within a term. My teaching method is what sets me apart. I do not just dictate notes. I explain, I illustrate, and I engage. I use real-life Nigerian examples — like fuel subsidy, price of garri in the market, exchange rate, and CBN monetary policies — to make abstract topics come alive. I simplify graphs, break down calculations, and teach my students how to answer exam questions correctly to get full marks. I am patient with slow learners, firm with unserious ones, and encouraging to all. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of each student, whether they are visual learners, fast learners, or students who need extra attention. Beyond academics, I also mentor my students. I instill in them discipline, confidence, and a strong reading culture. Many of my former students now study Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, and other related courses in higher institutions, and that is my greatest fulfillment as a teacher.
