In Classgap we have thousands of teachers to choose from across many different countries. Just indicate the subject you want to learn, and we’ll show you the tecahers who match your search.
To find tutors more easily we have an efficient filtering process inclouding time, country, langauges spoken, recommendations from other students, etc.
Booking a lesson
You have different ways to book a class:
- Contact tutor: Before booking you can send a message to the teacher to make sure he/she fits your requirements. In your message within the personal area you will be able to book a class without any problems.
- Take a free 20 minutes class: Most of our teachers offer a free 20 minute trial in order for both student and tutor to get to know each other.
- Book a paid class: You can either book a class with the tutor, selecting a day on his/her calendar and then adding your payment details; or make the payment first and then select the date and time of the class in your personal area
- Buying a pack of hours: Some tutors also offer the option of buying a package of 5 or 10 hours. With these packages you will benefit from a better price and it will make things more comfortable booking more classes at once. These packs expire in 6 months.
Payment and confirmation
At the moment you book a class or a package of hours, you will make the payment through our virtual payment service. You have two options:
- Debit / Credit
- Paypal
Once the payment is settled, we'll send you an e-mail with the booking confirmation, and we will also notify him/her about the lesson that you have booked. The teacher has 24 hours to confirm
the date and time you've requested, or change the date. If the teacher does not accept the booking, the amount will not be charged.
I'm a tutor, how and when will I receive my earnings?
At the end of each month we will analyze how much you have earned. There are two posible scenarios:
- You have earned more than 50 euros: We will transfer your earnings at no cost by bank transfer (for CEE bank accounts) or Paypal.
- You have earned less than 50 euros: In this case we will keep your earnings until you reach this threshold.
This duality in the payment method is aimed for all the parts to save costs. Thus, if the tutor lives outside Spain the field to be filled out in CLASSGAP is the one for the PayPal account.
The tutor must be autonomous (freelance) and fulfill the obligations with IRS (generally it must bill with the IVA tax). However, CLASSGAP is not responsible for controlling the fulfillment of said obligations.
I'm a tutor, what's the service fee?
Tutors will be the ones who decide their rate per hour. When a lesson is done, CLASSGAP will obtain a percentage of this rate. Such percentage will vary depending on whether the booking is directly done through the tutor or through CLASSGAP's website and/or one of their affiliates:
1. Through the Tutor: CLASSGAP will obtain a percentage of 10% of the price set by the tutor when the booking comes from their own channels, through a link provided to that effect.
2. Through CLASSGAP or our affiliates: CLASSGAP will obtain a variable percentage depending on how many teaching hours the tutor and the students have done and the total lessons the tutor has taught using CLASSGAP. Find below how it works:

We will apply a minimum of 1,25€ per hour.
All of the above given percentages include all the services offered by Classgap, including:
- Student payment costs by: credit or debit card, Paypal...
- Virtual classroom with all the available features.
- Tutor payment costs: bank transfer or Paypal.
We reserve the right to modify at any time the service fees (or to start charging for free services) with the condition that such changes do not have retroactive character to the fees paid before the date of the change.
Cancellations and Refunds
When can a student ask for a full refund?
- When the lesson has not been done due to the abscence of the tutor.
- When the lesson is cancelled for any reason at least 8 hours before the scheduled time of the class.
- Within 24 hours after the lesson if it’s your first time at Classgap and you feel unsatisfied.
To ask for a full refund due to dissatisfaction, please send an email to support@classgap.com with your reasons and your personal information (name, surname, phone number and a copy of your ID) and we will contact you.
If the student asks for a full refund, we reserve the right not to pay the lesson to the tutor
