I am a part time Chinese teacher who have 4 years of experience in teaching Chinese (mandarin) to English speakers. I am certified with 2A in the mandarin proficient test.
If you are an absolute beginner, I will mainly use the HSK textbooks with additional handouts. Usually it takes 40 lesson to finish HSK1 and HSK2. Homework will be assigned for each lesson. Teaching materials may be changed after HSK3 according to your goals and levels.
For advanced students, the lesson is tailored made with customised handouts. I can teach practical oral or business mandarin for specific industries. I have working experience as a Chinese copywriter, and worked as a strategy planner in marketing industry for 3 years. In case you are advanced enough to learn classical Chinese, I can help you with that as well.
I also teach Cantonese to foreigners who want to learn basic conversations in a short period of time. As a student, I used to hate English because I found it extremely difficult to grasp... and also because, till then, I had never met a teacher who could actually ignite my passion for such a beautiful language!
Then, at the age of 14, I met a teacher who finally understood my difficulties and turned them into opportunities! We began meticulous work starting from the very basics and, step by step, one mistake after another, I discovered the hidden gems of this language. Through various activities and workshops, that teacher was successfully sparking something new in my mind: rejection had turned into interest, and interest was taking on the contours of passion.
That summer, I went to New York and Washington on a study holiday, had exciting experiences in the Big Apple, and stayed on a real campus with students from all over the world. There, I realised that my passion had just turned into love, and from then on, I embarked on an endless journey that has brought me to where I am today. Over the years, thanks to other experiences and many native-speaking friends, my relationship with English has continued to grow and will continue to do so!

My personal experience as a student is what inspires my teaching method. I believe that the first step in being able to convey the love for something is to feel that love yourself for what you are teaching, otherwise it all boils down to a simple and empty transfer of knowledge.

The student and the teacher must recognise each other in a journey that will engage and enrich both of them from multiple points of view. If you now need to make a dialogue within half years ,please begin with chinese character when learing the basic dialogue,such as hsk,experiencing chinese .
I want to emphasy that as an adult ,i will teach you chinese language and some basic skill to learn chinese,such as tips and visual situation .it is usful when you dicide to learn by youself.

I graduated from Wuhan University with a major in Business English. I worked in a French-owned enterprise for 25 years, and this experience helped me how to do on cross-cultural communication. So, by chance, I made a career transition and became a Chinese tutor.
So far, I have nearly 2,000 hours of online Chinese teaching experience. I've taught 20 students whose ages range from 8 to 78. The content I teach includes Pinyin, "Shuowen Jiezi", grammar, listening comprehension, and oral practice. I strive to comprehensively improve their Chinese proficiency.
In my opinion, to be an excellent Chinese teacher, one must first have a love for the Chinese language and a passion for Chinese culture. I will customize dialogue for students to practice real life speaking.
We will introduce new word or vocabulary in dialogues. Every dialogue is transcript in 3 categories, which are Chinese, English and Pinyin.
5) sentencing structures (specialized)
I have my own study notes for sentencing structure, we will explain the differences between English and Mandarin when making sentences and explain well in how the structure should be .
So i able to explain well to my students and understand how to pronounce and using gammer correctly. If students attend 2 times a week to learn Chinese and the result of improvement is better and faster.
