I graduated from Wuhan University with a major in Business English. I worked in a French-owned enterprise for 25 years, and this experience helped me how to do on cross-cultural communication. So, by chance, I made a career transition and became a Chinese tutor. So far, I have nearly 2,000 hours of online Chinese teaching experience. I've taught 20 students whose ages range from 8 to 78. The content I teach includes Pinyin, "Shuowen Jiezi", grammar, listening comprehension, and oral practice. I strive to comprehensively improve their Chinese proficiency. In my opinion, to be an excellent Chinese teacher, one must first have a love for the Chinese language and a passion for Chinese culture. Secondly, one needs professional Chinese literacy and flexible teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs and levels of students and teach them accordingly. In addition, having sufficient patience and compassion is essential, especially when dealing with young children and students with slower language acquisition abilities. Meanwhile, I continuously strive for self-improvement, constantly enriching my professional capabilities and knowledge reserves to conduct more comprehensive and multidimensional teaching.
