I have been teaching Chinese for a year. The most important things in teaching foreigners are business Chinese and daily spoken English. If you encounter words you don’t know in class, please raise them in time!
Learning a language, Chinese, is not just about learning to express your thoughts in Chinese, but opening a door to a new world! A language brings you not only the way of expression of that language, but more importantly, the way of thinking and values formed by the historical and cultural background of that language.
Let children open the door to learning Chinese on the basis of mastering the local Chinese language. This will not only give children a tool to understand China and express Chinese people's thoughts in Chinese, but more importantly, give them a kind of Chinese traditional philosophy that is endless and continuous. Mastering and understanding the different values and outlooks on life formed by different social backgrounds and histories starts with the Chinese language. Chinese is not only a tool for the exchange of ideas, but also a carrier of culture. With the increasingly fierce social competition and the coexistence of truth, goodness and beauty with falsehood, evil and ugliness, children's future needs a heart with strong adaptability. This includes not only the spirit of self-improvement, but also the understanding of multiculturalism and the open-mindedness of tolerance.
I have been a Chinese teacher for a year and have summarized some teaching experience. The following is my summary of experience:
1. Establishing a harmonious teacher-student relationship in teaching Chinese as a foreign language
First of all, when teaching foreigners to learn Chinese, we teach them the Chinese language, which is different from the Chinese language that we Chinese have learned since childhood. The most important thing in teaching Chinese is to enable students to master the skills of using language to communicate with others. While teaching students Chinese knowledge, you should also try to become their friend. After getting close to the students, teaching will become relatively easy and enjoyable. Your students will find that they seem to have learned a lot of Chinese in the chat, and they will feel very happy. He will look forward to the arrival of class time with you, he will be interested in Chinese, and feel that learning Chinese is not so difficult and boring. You can also use a variety of teaching methods such as pictures, games, and situational interactions in the classroom to make the classroom more active, interesting, and more effective.
2. The difficulty of Chinese teaching content is moderate
My school is mainly a cram school, so the age of the students who teach Chinese varies from primary school students to adults. In teaching, we need to prepare different Chinese teaching contents according to different Chinese textbooks, and consider the acceptance ability of students who learn Chinese. In the adult class, some people know a little Pinyin, some have heard of China, and some do not know Chinese at all. In this case, the teacher must grasp the difficulty of the questions. The difficulty cannot be too high. If they cannot understand it, they will lose their passion for class, lose confidence in themselves, and think that they are not good enough, cannot compare with others, and cannot learn well. Therefore, we must choose some moderately difficult questions when teaching Chinese. For the Chinese children's class, the questions can be more flexible. The children are full of energy. In the classroom, the methods of encouragement and group competition are adopted to arouse their competitive spirit. They will find it challenging to overcome difficult problems. They will have a sense of not admitting defeat in their hearts, so they will listen to the class more seriously.
