Il mio metodo d'insegnamento cambia in base allo studente. Prendo in considerazione il suo livello, le motivazioni per imparare la grammatica o perfezionare l'italiano, progetti futuri o presenti, se è per motivi di studio o lavoro. Insegno l'italiano sia direttamente in italiano che in inglese o francese. E' un ottimo modo per me spiegare a volte le regole della lingua inglese e francese per poi insegnare le regole in italiano. In questo modo, c'è una comprensione ragionata e pensata, non basata sulla memoria.
Di solito, ci sono delle modalità comuni nel mio metodo. Cerco di focalizzare l'attenzione sulla conversazione nella prima metà della lezione partendo da domande semplici sulla vita quotidiana per arrivare lentamente e porre domande sempre più difficili per forzare la mente a pensare sempre cose nuove e diverse. Mentre la seconda parte della lezione o quella finale, vedere insieme regole nuove o poco chiare attraverso pdf specifici, regole non scritte e pratiche imparate attraverso l'insegnamento. oppure parlare di video o articoli inviati in modo da stimolare concetti nuovi ed entrare in linguaggi diversi (scientifico, sociale, letterario, formale, informale). A volte io do alcuni esercizi, così da rendere i concetti imparati più chiari e che rimangono in mente in modo giusto e non imparato tutto a memoria.
Mentre lo studente parla, sono molto attento alla sua esposizione, l'uso corretto della grammatica sia già imparata precedentemente che imparata con me, alla pronuncia. Penso di essere molto preciso, e forse a volte rigido, ma lo faccio per il bene dello studente
