Hello, how are you? My first language is English but I also know basic Sign Language. Firstly as a teacher I would get to understand the students goals and aspirations, what their current knowledge of English is and where they are lacking. Students will learn the Meaning, Pronunciation and form of words but students will not only learn words but phrases as well. I am a conversational partner therefore students will learn to hold a conversation in English and with my previous work experience students will also be able to learn Business English if the need arises. I am a retired Facilities Manager who has travelled and worked internationally for many years. What I enjoyed most during my career was teaching people. Hi! My name is Umar Ali and I am almost done with my degree in Computer Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). You must be asking yourself by now: what does a computer geek have to do with teaching English? Well, this computer geek has been teaching students since 2018. I started off small by volunteering to teach underprivileged kids at state schools but eventually I started teaching home tuitions to people of wealthier backgrounds. Recently, I have also been hired by the Native Camp, a Japan-based online teaching platform, as an English teacher. English has been my favourite subject ever since I was a little kid. I love playing with words and expressing the deepest of my feelings in a written form. In my online classes, I would like to inspire you to do the same as well. I scored a band 8.0 in my IELTS exam and I have also secured an A* grade in the Cambridge O level subject English (as a first language). And by you, I mean the level that you currently stand at and the specific areas of English that you are interested in improving on.
