Hello! I’m Portia, an English tutor with over three years of experience teaching learners of all ages, from primary school children to teenagers, adults, and professionals. I have taught in a homeschooling center, supported my own children through homeschooling, and worked online with professionals. This experience has shown me that every student brings their own goals and personality to class, so I tailor each lesson to meet your specific needs. In my classes, we blend real conversations with grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation practice. This approach allows you not just to study English but to learn how to use it effectively in real-life situations, whether for work, travel, or everyday communication. I believe that learning should be enjoyable, not a burden or a chore. You shouldn’t worry about making mistakes, as they are a natural part of the learning process. Instead, I aim to create an atmosphere where learning English feels like a conversation with a friend, one where you can relax, build confidence, and have fun. I also like to incorporate a bit of humor to help you feel at ease and focus better. If you would like to improve your English skills and work toward your personal goals, I would be delighted to help. Let’s build a learning plan that fits you and get started!
