My name is Xiaocheng, and I am a native Chinese speaker from Hebei, China. I have a passion for language learning and teaching, with over three years of experience tutoring Mandarin online. I’m also a certified Chinese teacher, holding a Mandarin Certificate and the Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. In the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching students from many countries, including Italy, the U.S., Japan, Greece and so on. I really enjoy engaging in discussions about life’s funny moments, feminism, and travel adventures (and even mishaps!). I understand that Chinese can seem challenging, especially with the four tones, but I’m here to make learning it easier and more enjoyable. For example, to master the third tone, I often tell my students it’s like when you say "well" in English—it goes down and then up, just like how you would pronounce "我".
