Hello! My name is John and I am a native English speaker from South Africa. I have been teaching Conversational English online since 2018 and have completed more than 25,000 lessons with students from all over the world. Over the past 7+ years, I have helped learners of all levels improve their fluency, confidence, pronunciation and everyday communication skills. My lessons are practical, relaxed and focused on helping students speak natural English with confidence. I teach real spoken English and help students use common phrases, expressions and idioms that native speakers use in everyday conversations. I also pay close attention to pronunciation, prepositions and collocations, which are often some of the biggest challenges for English learners. I understand that learning a second language is not always easy, so I always strive to create a patient, supportive and comfortable environment where students feel relaxed, even when making mistakes. Some students progress quickly while others need more time, and I enjoy helping every learner reach their English goals at their own pace. Whether you want to improve your speaking confidence, sound more natural, prepare for conversations at work or simply communicate more clearly in English, I will guide and encourage you every step of the way. I believe the best way to improve your English speaking skills is through regular practice, daily conversation, reading aloud and consistent exposure to the language. The more we use English, the easier and more natural it becomes. I also hold a Diploma in Advanced Christian Ministry and a 120-hour TEFL certificate, which qualifies me to teach English as a foreign language.
