Hello! My name is Ivan, and I’m a tutor of English, Ukrainian, and Russian.
I’m originally from Ukraine and currently a first-year student at Charles University in the Czech Republic, studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
I have an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 in English. Since I study in an international academic environment, I understand the real value of language and the challenges that come with learning it — especially as a beginner.
In my lessons, I focus on building confidence, using simple explanations, and adapting the pace and content to your needs.
We’ll work on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and speaking skills in a way that’s friendly and supportive. I’m patient, attentive, and always ready to help.
Let’s make progress together!

My name is Arina, and I am a certified Russian language teacher with a Master’s degree in Linguistics and over 1.5 years of online teaching experience.
I take into account each student’s level, goals, and preferences to make the learning process as effective and engaging as possible.
Each lesson is focused on practical skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I use a variety of materials—texts, audio, video—as well as elements of Russian culture to keep the lessons lively and interesting, so that students not only master the language but also gain a deeper understanding of Russian culture and traditions.
Say “Da!” with Arina!

We always start with a small talk to warm up, then move to articulation exercises that help improve pronunciation—Russian words are not easy to pronounce! We begin each lesson by writing down the date and the topic, and then the structure depends on the lesson's objective.
If we're focusing on grammar, I first explain the concept, then we read a short text to see it in context. Next, we do a brief exercise to check understanding, and spend the rest of the time practicing conversational skills using the grammar topic we've just studied. At the end of each lesson, we summarize what we've covered, address any questions, and I explain the homework. You'll also receive a short Quizlet quiz with new vocabulary to review.
That's the general framework, but really, it's very individual and depends on the topic. I sometimes prepare special materials like memes, creative tasks such as making advertisements or posters, or we work with Russian music and literature to make it more engaging and fun. And we usually laugh a lot!

Hi everyone! I'm Mel. I'm your Russian teacher. Many people prefer to learn Russian language online, and the best way to learn any language is plenty of speaking practice. If you want to speak Russian fluently and fast, welcome to join my classes. You will get personilized attention and support, real-time feedback and a tutor who is a native speaker. We will be learning reading, speaking, grammar and new words. And you will be able to use some Russian after your first class. About myself: I'm from Russia, Siberia. I like to travel, explore new places, try new dishes and learn foreign languages. Looking forward to know about you too!
I have about 5 years of experience as an ESL teacher and about a year as a French second language teacher, 3 years of experience as a translator and 7 years of experience as a bilingual customer services representative in call-centers (English and French). I worked for 2 years as an administrative assistant and for 4 years as an amateur programmer. I have taught English mostly for adults at the University level. I taught English at the Mari State University, Yoshkar-Ola, Russia and also at Russian State Social University, Moscow, Russia. I taught English and French at the English Language Institute, Moscow, Russia. I taught English, French, Maths and Sciences at the Oxford Learning Center, Calgary, AB, Canada. Right now I teach French online.
I like Grammar-Translation Teaching Methodology, which means that I teach grammar rules and vocabulary through translation. I also use Communicative Language Teaching, which means that I encourage students to speak, listen, read and write through interactive activities. Right now I teach online. I have a good quality headset with a good side talk cancellation microphone. My internet is fast. I have a possibility to hook up my computer to the modem with an ethernet cable. I have a Battery Backup Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System which gives about 40 minutes of autonomy to finalize a lesson. I have dry erase whiteboard markers with a white board and some chalk with a blackboard. I enjoy what I do right now.
