Hi! My name is Alexandra Jean.
I am originally from the Philippines. I moved to Japan 14 years ago to work as a nurse. I am now a Japanese citizen through naturalization.
My journey as a nurse interpreter started after seeing a lot of foreign outpatients coming into the hospital without any language background, and experiencing communication hurdles. I help do most of the translations and explanations when it comes to the Japanese healthcare system.
I started from ground zero in Japanese, but through hard work, determination, and perseverance, I was able to attain the highest level of proficiency in JLPT N1 two years after learning.
This achievement for me, not only represents language mastery but a deep respect for the culture and an unyielding commitment to effective communication.
I am eager to share with you everything I learned throughout my Japanese language studies, Japanese culture, and whatnot. I understand that this can be a tough journey for most of us, but I am here to teach and guide you to a more "fun way" of learning the language and culture.
Feel free to send a message if you're interested in learning from me!
Alexandra
