I start every learning journey with each of my students with a thorough assessment of their unique goals, needs, learning styles and preferences. I then design a suggested learning plan based on this assessment, which I discuss and modify with my students, to ensure that learning is a cooperative process.
I use structured and effective methods of teaching both receptive skills (listening and reading) and expressive skills (speaking and writing), in addition to grammar, vocabulary and functional language. I create a shared document with each of my students to keep a detailed learning record, and I create audio files of the learning material to help students practice with correct pronunciation.
I use authentic reading and listening material, that matches the materials that students are likely to encounter in real-life, and the unique interests of each student. I incorporate regular practice and revision of previous learning, and I provide regular feedback to my students, and ask for feedback regularly to ensure an effective and enjoyable learning process.
