Since then, I've played with a variety of bands and musicians including well-known artists such as John Baggott (Robert Plant, Massive Attack, Portishead), Rob Mazurek (Exploding Star Orchestra, Chicago Underground, Pharoah Sanders), Little Ed (Chicago Blues star), Smilin' Bobby (Chicago Blues elder), Mary Lane (Chicago Blues singer), Butch Trucks (drummer of the Allman Brothers Band), Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars), Colonel Bruce Hampton, Kofi Burbridge (Tedeschi Trucks Band), and more. In addition to that, I've studied guitar with Dave Manley (Herbie Hancock, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu), Mike Stern (Miles Davis, Brecker Bros, Jaco Pastorius), Tim Miller (Mick Goodrick, Randy Brecker, George Garzone), Norm Zocher (Jerry Bergonzi, Bob Moses, Esperanza Spalding) and many other great players. I've taught people of many different ages and backgrounds. My approach is based on the goals of each individual student, and I do my best to use what I've learned over the years to create meaningful lessons for everyone.

I’ve been working in music for over ten years, both as a teacher and a professional musician. Since graduating from Leeds Conservatoire in 2010, I’ve taught piano to people of all ages and abilities — from complete beginners to advanced players — in a mix of styles and settings. As a musician and composer, I was thrilled to be nominated for a BASCA British Composer Award in 2018, and my original projects (The Sorcerers, Johnny Richards & Dave King, Shatner's Bassoon) I have been featured on BBC Radio 2, 3, and 6. I’ve also had the chance to tour across Europe and perform at some amazing festivals along the way. My experience as both a performer and teacher has really shaped how I approach music — I love helping others learn, create, and perform in a way that feels inspiring and true to them, whatever their style.
