About me

Hello! I am Petro White. I live in the most exciting, memorable and wild country in Southern - Africa, called South Africa. I am a wizard! Not like Harry Potter, but I do have some magic tricks up my sleeve. I have more than 12 years experience in the teaching industry. I am TEFL certified and it provides me with the opportunity to meet new people and broaden my general knowledge. I recently acquired a certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Advanced IELTS Teaching. Teaching should be done with passion and I have assisted many students from the age of 3 to 21 years old. I am part of their education in every aspect. From doing homework, to writing speeches, preparing for exams, oral and written. I am fluent in English and Afrikaans and I pride myself on being a very patient and kind person, I will always try and simplify something so you can understand it according to your capabilities. I have an eclectic teaching style and it is solely dependent in the student's needs and capabilities. I make use of drilling, videos, songs, TPR techniques and I want students to be able to think in English when confronted with everyday situations.
