Hello! I’m Mesuli, an online English teacher from South Africa with a law degree. My passion for teaching began in the classroom when I discovered that my learning style is not embraced in a traditional classroom environment, so I sought to create a space where students like me who learn best by speaking or watching visual aids—and not just listening and writing — could be themselves and have fun while learning! In my free time, I like to travel and make new friends. I enjoy going to amusement parks, playing tennis, reading books, watching documentaries on YouTube, going-karting, zip-lining, and going out to eat. I have over five years of experience teaching children and young learners. Additionally, I specialize in helping students improve their reading, phonics, speaking, vocabulary, and writing skills in a fun, supportive environment. I have taught ESL in South Korea and have worked as a tutor for English, Afrikaans, Accounting, Math, and Business Studies. I’m TEFL-certified, patient, and great at adapting lessons to each student’s level and confidence. In my classroom, you will have a friendly and supportive space where your learning style is embraced and you feel confident to try, make mistakes, and improve. We will celebrate your progress, and I will give consistent and clear feedback so you always know how well you are doing. I use audio and video clips, and fun, interactive activities such as short writing challenges, word-search, role-plays, and real-life examples to keep lessons meaningful and interesting. You will learn skills on how to start or engage in conversations; enhance pronunciation, reading comprehension, and fluency; improve syntax (sentence structure) in academic writing; improve general grammar, and academic and literature essay writing.
