About me

Hello, I'm Christy! I'm half British - half Indonesian, I grew up in The U.K. and Australia, now I'm based in Indonesia. I love teaching English as it gives me the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds. I get to share my knowledge, and I'm also continuously learning from students - whether it's about different cultures, travel experiences, current affairs, music, anything! I have 10+ years of teaching experience, and I'm TEFL certified. I have a BA in communication studies which has helped in leading the classes, and communicating with students. I'm mostly focused on teaching adult learners. I have taught general and business English classes, IELTS preparation, or conversation class to boost students' speaking fluency and confidence. Students are always encouraged to speak in classes, as my classes are always discussion-based. I believe that learning English should be fun and enjoyable! :)
