I have over 3 years of teaching experience, mainly in person, but also online. I am a 1-1 music tutor and teach both acoustic and electric guitar. The format of my lessons is very basic, but it works. We start off a normal lesson by playing some warm up exercises. After that, we simply work on whatever it is you want, whether that is learning a new song, a new style, preparing for a music grade exam, learning about the fretboard and music theory, the list goes on. If you aren't sure about the next thing to do, or I'm teaching a younger student, I will provide material for us to work through which will improve overall playing and competence. I believe in being patient with my students and listening to what their goals are. You will never feel pressured in one of my lessons and above all, they are kept light-hearted and fun! I can't guarantee you'll play like your idols after a few lessons, but I can guarantee that if you put the work in and practice alongside taking my lessons, you will be one step closer!

Mi objetivo principal es cumplir los objetivos de cada alumno ( sea Niño o Adulto), motivarlo constantemente, descubrir el instrumento y el maravilloso mundo de la música, enseñarle todo lo que necesite y darle resultados, basados claramente en sus gustos musicales, en su género de preferencia y lo que desea llegar a aprender.

Hello! I am Josée Allard, piano teacher from Canada. I have a bachelor degree in Piano Performance from The University of Montreal and a 4-year Certificate in Improvisation from the USA. I won the First Prize of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra Competition when I was 17 years old. I teach Individual classical piano lessons for students aged 9 and over with an innovative approach of creative improvisation. Only a few spots are available! The aim of our piano lessons is to provide comprehensive instruction that leads the student to a knowledge and love of music, while opening a window on his or her own musical creativity.
