Hello! I am Josée Allard, piano teacher from Canada. I have a bachelor degree in Piano Performance from The University of Montreal and a 4-year Certificate in Improvisation from the USA. I won the First Prize of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra Competition when I was 17 years old. I teach Individual classical piano lessons for students aged 9 and over with an innovative approach of creative improvisation. Only a few spots are available! The aim of our piano lessons is to provide comprehensive instruction that leads the student to a knowledge and love of music, while opening a window on his or her own musical creativity. This course is dedicated to students who wish to devote the necessary time to learning music, combining pleasure and quality, rigour and passion. Traditional classical teaching based on the curriculum of the École de musique Vincent d'Indy of Canada, adapted to the student's profile. No participation in music school exams Exploration of different musical styles: classical, popular, film music, world music, chanson, written jazz Lessons can be given in English or French.

My piano classes are structured so that students work on the most important aspects of training as a pianist and are tailored to the needs of the student. I give great importance to developing self motivation in a relaxed environment that encourages creative flow throughout the learning process. Repertoire is agreed with the student and adapted to the style of music preferred, together with student needs and objectives. Learn how to play the piano effortlessly and to express what you have inside! I aim to cater to the tastes and needs of students in an open and individual way and have a Yamaha grand piano that students can enjoy playing on when face to face classes are again possible.
