Hi, I’m Ephy, an English tutor based in Kenya. I’m a qualified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a TEFL certificate, and I have over five years of experience working with children, teenagers, and adult learners. I have a big passion for teaching and helping people grow, not just in English, but in confidence too. I genuinely enjoy seeing learners improve step by step and start believing in themselves. I also work closely with children in my local area and through homeschooling, helping with English, homework support, exam preparation, and building strong learning habits. This has helped me develop a lot of patience, encouragement, and an understanding that every learner needs a different approach. If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry at all; I will guide you. I also provide learning materials, so you don’t need to buy anything extra. We will work with what you need, and I use structured lesson plans based on your level to make sure you keep improving step by step. My lessons are focused on real communication. We can work on everyday English, pronunciation, vocabulary, workplace English, or simply practice conversation about life, interests, or your goals. I also make sure lessons are based on what you enjoy, because I believe students learn faster when they are interested and motivated. I take time to understand what you like, so the lessons feel personal and engaging for you. I would describe myself as patient, supportive, and firm when needed.
