I am currently a mechanical draughtsperson in South Africa working for a renewable energy company. I will be resuming my BEng. Mechatronics degree studies from Nelson Mandela University this year, 2021. Coming from a multilingual background and having learnt Swahili as well, I believe I can share my knowledge of English and Technical Drawings with any student on this platform. As I have learnt from my profession, breaking communication barriers is very important especially in work environments with the aim of easing the flow of information. My classes are relaxed and well structured. First we make the main idea click with a simple story, sketch, or a tiny Python demo. Then we practise with short checks and exam style questions from your board. I use the right mark scheme language, give quick, kind feedback, and finish each lesson with a short recap and a small, targeted task. If something feels confusing, we slow down. If it is solid, we move on. I am currently doing a PhD in Computer Science, while working on real systems like blockchain and security, so I know how Computer Science connects to the real world, and I explain things in plain English. Hi! 👋 I'm a fresh college graduate, and most of what I know today, I taught myself, at my own pace, through a lot of trial and error. I really believe that's exactly what makes me a good teacher: I've stumbled through the same confusion you might be facing right now, and I know how to help you get past it, because I've been there myself. I actually got my start teaching by helping my siblings with their studies, and they ended up doing even better than I did 😊. Math has always been my strongest subject, and it's where I feel most confident guiding others. Programming is a similar story. I taught myself JavaScript, HTML, and CSS through hands-on experimenting, including plenty of mistakes along the way. That process led me to build over 10+ projects(with even more on the way), which put me ahead of most of my classmates by the time I graduated. On the academic side: I lost just 1 mark in Computer Science in 10th grade, 1 mark in Math in 9th grade, and scored 89/100 in 11th grade math. I know a lot of tutors will tell you about their 10 or 20 years of experience, and that has its value, but I think there's something different I can offer: I learned this recently, the way you're learning it now, so I remember exactly where things get confusing and how to explain them in a way that actually clicks 🚀. I'd love to help you get there too.
