Hi! my name is Tony Parr, I am a highly experienced teacher with Current active experience lecturing and teaching in Secondary schools, Further and Higher Education at colleges. my main subjects are Design, Art and Media. I have 30 years of experience having taught over a 1000 students on GCSE, A Level, Diploma and Foundation Degree programmes in colleges and Schools. I am an ex Professional Graphic Designer and Art Director working in London prior to teaching. I have a current and progressive active (Course Director currently delivering projects and courses) experience in both theory and practice taught at key stages 2,3,4 and 5 (from secondary to degree). Subjects: 1. Sound and Music production, use of digital tools in sound and music (Digital Audio workstations - DAW's) for film soundtrack, Foley, FX and ambient scoring. I use Logic Pro, Native instruments, Omnisphere plug-ins, Adobe Audition and many other sound tools in conjunction with video editors such as Adobe Premier Pro. 2. Digital video & Film theory and design using mainly Adobe Premier Pro, Audition and Photoshop for sound and vision output. I teach film design subjects: Documentary, Drama, Journalism shorts, youtube etc. 3. Graphic Design, theory and design layout and typography using Photoshop, Indesign and other tools. I teach both for online and paper based publishing. 4. Typographic Design and use for all publishing. Type language use and delivery in context with the type of vehicle (press, promotional, advertising, online media etc). 5. Portfolio design and presentation. I can help you create suitable portfolios for entry into FE, HE courses or the Creative Sector. I am a current FE Course Director and have been a HE Degree Course Director as well as a Production Director in Advertising. I will teach from the subject theory with the software at the level you require and will design the programme to your needs. There will be set tasks with outcomes that build in 30 minute stages The final outcome will be a portfolio of work that you can use for a set purpose such as access to a full time course in education, application for a job or for exhibiting your work.
