Hello! Nice to meet you. My name is Mao Shiheng, but you can call me Mao. I’m from China. I hold a master’s degree and a CTCSOL certificate (Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages). I love classical Chinese poetry and Tai Chi. I speak English and have been teaching Chinese online to foreign students for two years. My students come from countries like the U.S., Germany, and Malaysia, ranging in age from 7 to 60. I’m a detail-oriented teacher, especially when it comes to fundamental grammar and pronunciation. I believe that mastering the basics is essential for learning a foreign language, particularly Chinese, where tones and phonetics are crucial.
