I am Musa Titus, a final-year student at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa, majoring in English Literature and Organisational Psychology, where my interdisciplinary studies sharpen my analytical thinking, appreciation for narrative, and understanding of human behaviour in organisational settings. Last year, I served as a Psychology 1 tutor, conducting tutorials and one-on-one sessions that helped me develop effective communication skills and classroom management strategies, and in 2023 I volunteered with Project Read at a local primary school, supporting Grade 1 learners as they built foundational reading-for-meaning skills through tailored exercises that fostered confidence and literacy. I hold a TEFL certificate, which equips me with best practices in lesson planning, language assessment, and interactive teaching methods adapted for virtual environments such as Zoom and Google Classroom, and I publish poetry and short articles on my Substack account, where I refine my writing and editorial skills. Outside the virtual classroom, I am an avid reader and an active writer, and I recharge my creativity and resilience by bouldering, camping, hiking, and running through natural landscapes, which allows me to return to teaching with renewed energy, fresh ideas, and a deep appreciation for lifelong learning and personal growth. My strengths include empathy, adaptability, organisation, and a commitment to professional development, ensuring I stay current with pedagogical trends and educational technology, and I am dedicated to helping each student reach their goals by creating a supportive, dynamic learning environment that celebrates progress and inspires curiosity.
