My name is teacher Vuyi, I’m a certified ESL teacher with a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate. For the past 2 years I have been teaching English as a second language and the journey has been incredible. I have taught students from all over the world to help them become more self-assured, communicate more fluently, and use English in everyday contexts, whether they are at work, school or training.
My educational background, I hold a degree Bsc in environmental studies and post graduate certificate in education. I have 1year experience working as environmental officer and 2 years experience of in person teaching. During my teaching journey it has helped enhance my social skills through direct interaction and collaborative activities. I developed other high essential skills including effective classroom management, high empathy and patience. Conflict resolution and adaptability to changing situations.
Aside from teaching, I love listening to podcasts that shows initiative and content creation. I also like hosting cultural exchange events which includes food nights, language exchange meet-ups, pen-pal programs. This encourage cross-cultural connections.
I’m a passionate and creative ESL teacher who believes that learning English should should be fun, interactive, and meaningful. In my classroom, students are encouraged to speak confidently through games, discussions, role plays, storytelling and real-life communication activities. I create a friendly and supportive environment where learners feel comfortable expressing themselves and making mistakes as part of the learning process. My lessons are student-centred, engaging, and designed to build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English
