My name is Ann and I am a retired consultant ecologist with 6 years teaching experience in secondary schools in the UK and Switzerland; 5 years demonstrator experience (practical demonstrator work; lecturing; tutorials and exam marking) at Keele University and several years experience providing private tuition to A level students. Throughout my broad working experience which has included working as a scuba diving instructor; ecological researcher and finally working as a consultant ecologist, I never stopped teaching and coaching whether it was ecological survey techniques to work colleagues or sea life identification to trainee divers! I also have experience as an A-level assessor for Edexcel, marking final exams. I have a huge enthusiasm for my subject and a talent for helping people make sense of complex concepts. My focus is on the needs of the individual and presentation of the topic to their best advantage.
