Hello, I’m Dorinda and I’m a biology student teacher. I’m really passionate about biology and getting to teach people about it— that’s why I signed up on this platform so I can have more hands on experience to put in real life practice. I’m an introvert and it’s really funny because I’m going into this profession full time but I’m also kind of an extrovert around people I’m really comfortable around and sometimes I feel too hyperactive lol. I like reading and writing— also singing too, although I’m not very good at it😂

I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. at IIT Kharagpur (India) while simultaneously working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering. This dual role has enriched my understanding of both academic research and the importance of effective teaching. Over the years, I have realized that the foundation of any discipline, especially in engineering and sciences, is rooted in a clear understanding of fundamental concepts—particularly mathematics. As a teacher, it is my mission to ensure that every student I engage with builds a strong and unshakable foundation in the subject. In every class, I encourage active participation, ask questions that provoke critical thinking, and provide opportunities for students to explore the subject in depth. I pay special attention to those who are hesitant or struggling, offering them extra time and support to ensure they can keep pace with their peers. I do not believe in rote learning; instead, I aim to spark curiosity and a genuine interest in the subject. In conclusion, I am not just teaching to complete a syllabus—I am teaching to shape future engineers, scientists, and innovators. By strengthening their foundation in mathematics and nurturing a problem-solving mindset, I hope to make a lasting impact on my students’ academic and professional journeys. With passion, patience, and dedication, I aim to be the kind of teacher who helps students discover their true potential and ensures they never forget the fundamentals they need for success.

Ciao sono Antonella, una studentessa universitaria di fisica che svolge lezioni di ripetizione e tutoraggio di matematica e fisica da ormai cinque anni a studenti di medie e superiori. Queste materie sono come lo sport: ci vuole costante esercizio e allenamento per diventare pratici. Più che concentrarmi sulla teoria trovo importante vedere durante le lezioni degli esercizi che aiutano a capire il vero significato dell'argomento che si sta trattando. Quindi, un esercizio ve lo mostro io, ma fate attenzione che poi toccherà a voi! Tranquilli però, riconosco quanto possano risultare difficili queste materie, per questo so essere molto paziente con i miei studenti. Mi piace organizzare le lezioni in base alle esigenze di ogni studente, sarò felice di aiutarvi a raggiungere i vostri obiettivi!
