Hi my name is Christiaan. I`m a native English speaker from South Africa. I have a TEFL qualification and a degree in Graphic Design. I have been teaching online for more than a year and a half now but, that also includes two years of in person lessons. In my free time I like to read a good book, work in the garden and spending time with family and friends. My classes are informal and very comfortable to take part in. Building a strong teacher-student relationship is at the heart of my teaching. I work hard to create a safe, encouraging space where learners feel comfortable expressing themselves and asking questions. I believe that confidence grows when children feel heard and respected.
Parents can expect regular feedback, visible progress, and lessons that nurture not just academic skills but also life skills like responsibility, curiosity, and resilience. I integrate digital tools and creative methods to make online learning as engaging as being in a physical classroom.
What makes my classes different is my blend of structure and warmth — lessons are well-organised, but there’s always room for laughter, imagination, and genuine connection. I want my students to look forward to each class and to leave feeling proud of what they’ve achieved.
