Mon expérience : Formateur sur le Web depuis mars 2013, j’accompagne des candidat(e)s à réussir des concours administratifs et des concours de grandes écoles. Avec des résultats probants. Etant issu, moi-même, de 3 Grandes Ecoles d’excellence et de 2 bonnes Universités, j’applique pour préparer mes élèves des méthodes qui ont fait leur preuve. A l’écrit comme à l’oral. Ma méthodologie : • Pour les épreuves écrites : En préalable Je considère qu’il y a un attendu et quatre incontournables : - Attendu : un niveau correct en matière de grammaire, orthographe, syntaxe du français. Certains concours le disent de façon explicite : il y a jusqu’à deux et même trois points en plus ou en moins sur une copie en fonction de cet attendu (cf. par exemple le concours d’officier de gendarmerie). De quoi faire ou défaire d’emblée une admissibilité. Lorsque cela est nécessaire, je propose une remise à niveau de l’élève mais je le laisse entièrement libre de son choix. - Incontournable n°1 : une écriture manuscrite lisible. C’est un écueil que les candidat(e)s ne réalisent pas. Une écriture difficile à lire indispose le correcteur. Pour ce faire, j’indique des ressources en ligne où chacun(e) pourra s’exercer en dehors des séances. - Incontournable n°2 : une prise de notes efficace lors de la lecture d’un dossier. Un dossier étant devenu l’épreuve la plus courante d’un concours. - Incontournable n°3 : une lecture rapide du dossier. J’indique ici des méthodes efficaces qui permettent un entrainement rapide. - Incontournable n°4 : une reformulation astucieuse des documents du dossier Dans cet incontournable, il faut bien distinguer trois aspects : Répéter, paraphraser ou reformuler les documents dans sa copie. Seule la reformulation permet de sortir du lot. Avec mes élèves, nous voyons diverses méthodes pour ce faire. Ensuite, l’élève découvre l’approche dossier et l’approche copie. Enfin, nous appliquons une technique rédactionnelle adéquate pour sortir le plus souvent du lot, dès la phase de l’admissibilité. • Pour les épreuves orales : Pour l’oral, nous travaillons ensemble sur le CV, RAEP, ou document de présentation du candidat. Ceci pour rendre la prestation de l’élève la plus impactante possible auprès du jury. Nous nous attachons à faire l’inventaire puis à choisir les compétences/ qualités qui seront présentées devant le jury. Nous nous efforçons de mettre en valeur les éléments saillants du parcours du candidat. Bâtir un narratif pour prouver qu’on a à la fois une motivation et un projet en se présentant à ce concours. Qu’on n’est pas là par hasard. Enfin, nous passons en revue diverses mises en situation, les fameuses M.E.S., en évaluant celles qui seront dans le champ du possible, voire du probable. My approach to teaching is to help students answer questions themselves, by giving suggestions, instead of telling them the answer. Based on a student's needs, I try to develop their confidence, problem-solving skills, and exam technique. I first cover the areas the student is finding difficult at school. I then go through past paper questions to identify other areas the student needs to improve on. I teach important exam techniques to help improve a student`s grade. Such as methods for preventing mistakes, improving their timing when answering questions, and things they can do if they are unsure about a question.
