Hello, I am your Chinese language teacher. I graduated from a normal university in China, majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. I hold a Level 2-A Mandarin Proficiency Certificate, an Advanced Chinese Language Teaching Qualification, and I have passed the College English Test Band 6 (CET-6). Although I graduated two years ago, I already have five years of experience teaching both Chinese and English. During my internship at university, I taught comprehensive Chinese courses to students from various countries. I specialize in helping students learn new vocabulary and expressions through context in the textbook. By using example sentences and synonym transformation exercises, I help students better understand meaning and usage. Grammar and sentence patterns are also integrated naturally into the lessons, allowing students to grasp them gradually through context. When explaining vocabulary, I try to use Chinese as much as possible. Direct English translations may not always be equivalent, which can lead to misunderstanding or misuse of words. For students preparing for proficiency tests, I design targeted exercises and writing tasks. In class, I use as much Chinese as possible to create an immersive environment and encourage students to speak more. This allows me to identify and correct mistakes in real time. I have a deep love for reading and Chinese literature. For students with advanced Chinese proficiency, I often include excerpts from literary classics in my lessons to help them appreciate Chinese culture more deeply.
