Hello, my name is Oluwasayo Esther, and I am a Special Education Teacher with both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Special Education from the University of Ibadan, where I specialized in Special Education/Learning Disabilities. My professional experience is focused on supporting elementary students with Autism and learning disabilities. I work closely with students to understand their individual learning needs, strengths, and areas of difficulty. I develop and implement appropriate strategies to help them make meaningful academic and developmental progress. I support students with learning difficulties in literacy, reading, and elementary mathematics. I effectively simplify mathematical concepts to make them more accessible and engaging for learners with different abilities and learning styles. One of my strengths as an educator is my ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning. I am versatile in the use of technology-based educational platforms such as Century Tech, SplashLearn, TinyTap, Twinkl, and other virtual learning platforms to simplify concepts, reinforce skills, increase engagement, and provide students with more interactive and individualized learning experiences. I believe that effective teaching and learning extend beyond addressing a child's difficulties. It involves identifying their strengths, understanding how they learn best, providing the right support, and creating opportunities for them to become confident and increasingly independent learners. I love the application of reinforcement, and my correction methods do not reduce confidence. As a Special Education Teacher, I am committed to creating a supportive virtual learning environment where every child I work with has the opportunity to learn, develop their abilities, and reach their maximum potential.
