HI,everyone! My name is Haimin, and I’m from Guangdong Province in southern China. I speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, so I can support you in the language that feels most comfortable for you. I hold a master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of the Basque Country and have six years of teaching experience. I understand that learning Mandarin as a non-native speaker can feel challenging—especially when it comes to pronunciation, tones, characters, and sentence structure. My goal is to make the learning process clear, supportive, and enjoyable. My lessons are organized around your current level, learning goals, and interests. For beginners, we’ll build a strong foundation with pinyin, tones, essential vocabulary, and useful everyday expressions. As you progress, we’ll practise listening, speaking, reading, and writing through guided activities and real-life situations. I’ll also explain grammar and pronunciation step by step, give you plenty of opportunities to speak, and offer constructive feedback so you can steadily improve. I can help you prepare for HSK and YCT exams, develop your business Chinese, or feel more confident using Mandarin in daily life. I also enjoy introducing students to Chinese culture, customs, and regional differences, including aspects of life in Guangdong.
