Hello, I’m Eleanor, born in Washington and shaped by eleven years of teaching. I’m fueled by my love for people, stories, languages, and helping learners find confidence in themselves. I believe learning English isn’t just about grammar or vocabulary—it’s about finding your voice and opening doors you never knew existed, and that’s the type of learning journey I create for my students. I’ve taught learners from every corner of the world, including children, adults, professionals, exam takers, and even English teachers themselves. Outside the classroom, I love mountaineering, skiing, swimming, camping, traveling, reading books, and watching movies and cartoons. I genuinely enjoy talking about everything, and I love connecting with people from different backgrounds. My classes are a mix of communication, growth, and real conversations that help students feel comfortable, supported, and inspired. Let’s grow your English with energy, trust, and real progress, and make English your comfort zone I speak English as my native language, and I also speak Chinese. Because I’ve learned another language myself, I deeply understand the emotional and practical challenges of learning a new language, and I bring that understanding into my teaching. I teach general English, conversational English, Business English, English for specific purposes, and preparation for international exams including IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, and PTE. I also train teachers around the world and help them grow into more effective and professional educators. My classes are friendly, active, energetic, and always learner-centered. You will speak more than I do, because developing your confidence is one of my biggest priorities. I focus on speaking practice, listening activities, integrated tasks, and real-life communication. I correct your mistakes gently and sometimes directly, depending on what helps you the most. I also design custom materials and tailor every lesson to your goals, preferences, and learning style so that each class feels meaningful, personalized, and motivating.
