Teaching Techniques and Methodology
I do not believe in passive, purely memorization-based studying, which too often makes humanities subjects appear “boring.” My teaching method is based on listening, critical thinking, and adapting to each student’s specific needs, translating complex concepts into clear, accessible, and stimulating language.
I firmly believe that philosophy, psychology, and sociology are practical tools for understanding ourselves and the reality around us. My ultimate goal is not simply to help students pass an exam, but to provide them with a solid study method that gradually makes them independent, transforming a sense of externally imposed duty into genuine internal motivation. I am not satisfied until the student is able to explain a concept in their own words.
Structure of a Typical Lesson
Preliminary Phase
I always ask students to send me the material and topics at least a couple of days before the lesson. This allows me to prepare a tailored session, optimize time, and arrive fully prepared.
The First Lesson
The first lesson is dedicated to getting to know the student and assessing their needs: I listen carefully to their specific difficulties, observe their current study method, and try to understand precisely the expectations and requirements of their school teachers or university professors.
Regular Lessons
I alternate theoretical explanations with open discussion, encouraging reasoning and problem-solving. The goal is to avoid the frustration of memorizing endless pages without understanding their logical meaning.
Teaching Specificities
I integrate the use of the textbook — an essential tool — with practical examples, references to current events, and multimedia resources, making each topic more engaging and contextualized.
Who My Lessons Are For
I offer support to:
Middle and high school students (both lower and upper years): tutoring support, recovery from poor grades, development of a personalized study method, and strengthening of academic skills.
University students: preparation for exams in philosophy and humanities, as well as analytical support in structuring essays and complex academic texts.
