Naresh
English has always been more than a subject to me; it is a passion that continues to inspire me every day. I am deeply fascinated by the power of English to connect people, build confidence, express ideas clearly, and open doors to education, careers, and meaningful communication. My passion lies particularly in helping learners speak English naturally, confidently, accurately, and effectively.
One of my strongest areas of interest is **accent reduction and accent neutralisation**. I believe that a learner should be able to speak clearly and be understood easily without feeling embarrassed about their pronunciation. My approach focuses on developing clear, natural speech while retaining the learner’s individuality. I enjoy working on sounds, stress, rhythm, intonation, connected speech, and the subtle features that make spoken English sound fluent and natural.
**Phonics** is another area that fascinates me. Understanding the relationship between letters and sounds provides learners with a strong foundation for pronunciation and reading. I enjoy helping students identify individual sounds, understand sound patterns, pronounce unfamiliar words, and gradually become more confident speakers.
I am equally passionate about **fluency**. For me, fluency is not simply speaking quickly. It is the ability to express thoughts smoothly, confidently, spontaneously, and appropriately. I enjoy helping learners overcome hesitation, expand their vocabulary, organise their thoughts, and participate naturally in conversations. I encourage learners to practise real-life communication rather than merely memorising grammatical rules.
**Vocabulary development** is an essential part of my teaching philosophy. I love exploring words, their meanings, pronunciation, usage, collocations, synonyms, antonyms, and contexts. I believe that learning a word becomes meaningful only when a learner knows how to use it naturally in conversation.
I am also particularly interested in **idioms, phrases, and everyday expressions** because they add colour, personality, and authenticity to English. Learning expressions such as these enables students to understand native and international speakers better and communicate in a more natural way. I also enjoy introducing learners to appropriate **slang and informal expressions**, while explaining when they are suitable and when formal language would be more appropriate.
Pronunciation remains at the heart of my passion. I enjoy identifying pronunciation difficulties, correcting individual sounds, improving word stress, practising sentence stress, and developing better intonation. Even small improvements in pronunciation can make a tremendous difference to a learner’s confidence.
Ultimately, my goal is to make English enjoyable, practical, and empowering. I want my learners to move beyond simply knowing English to actually **using it with confidence**. Whether the objective is accent reduction, pronunciation, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, conversation, idioms, phrases, or everyday slang, I approach teaching with enthusiasm, patience, and genuine dedication. English is not merely something I teach; it is something I continuously explore, appreciate, and share with others.
