I have been a physics and mathematics tutor since 2015, mentoring hundreds of students, up to university level. Usually, I stick to the following pattern: I start my lesson providing scientific and – possibly – historical background of the subject, making sure that the student has clear why we are tackling that particular issue. After a theoretical explanation of the subject at hand, we turn to the problem sheet. This tests and strengthens the comprehension of the student, and is thus a fundamental part of the lesson. Throughout the lesson, I put effort in involving the student, by asking them questions, by providing examples drawn from real life and by encouraging questions from his side. I believe that my first responsibility is to help students become independent in their studies. I am very easygoing, and I am sure you are going to be happy with my tutoring. Sono uno studente prossimo alla Laurea Triennale in matematica presso l'università Federico II di Napoli. Sono una persona paziente e metodica. Miro a costruire nell'alunno non solo una conoscenza atta a superare la prova ma a insegnargli la metodologia con la quale potrà affrontare anche nuovi problemi che differiscono dalle formulazioni standard. Mio obiettivo è anche creare collegamenti tra quello che si impara e il mondo reale, in modo che le conoscenze acquisite non vengano relegate ad un solo fatto scolastico ma alla costruzione delle capacità di una persona. Il tutto cercando di essere sempre disponibile arricchendo le lezioni con simpatia e aneddotti storici della matematica. Sono una persona molto empatica e che ha cura dei suoi studenti, sarà mia missione rendere le lezioni su misura per gli alunni in modo da poter rendere l'apprendimento godibile, non noioso ma allo stesso tempo efficace. Spero di riuscire a trasmettere la passione che io provo per la matematica.

Je sais combien les élèves peuvent se sentir démunis dans cette matière, pourtant je suis persuadée qu’avec quelques clefs en main on peut facilement avoir la moyenne en math… voire exceller! C’est ce que je peux t’aider à faire. En sortant de chaque heure de cours passée avec moi, tu seras capable d’évaluer ta progression et de savoir ce qu’il te manque pour réussir ton contrôle. S’il faut revenir 20 fois sur le même concept, explique de 20 manières différentes… on le fera ! Mon but est de te passer les trucs et astuces pour comprendre ce que les professeurs attendent de toi. Tu n’aimes pas trop le côté abstrait des mathématiques ? Ça tombe bien :) On parlera en image, avec des dessins ou avec les mains!
