Hi! I'm Rose, a committed and passionate tutor. I earned my Master's Degree in Chemistry and have dedicated the past 18 years to teaching my favorite subject, Chemistry. Holding full international certification and qualification as a lecturer and teacher in Chemistry I specialise and bring valuable experience with AP, IB, A-Level, GCSE/IGCSE and College Chemistry. I take great joy in imparting my enthusiasm for Chemistry to all my students.
I have provided online tutoring for over 600 students, primarily from the US and UK, and a few from countries such as Italy, Germany, Singapore, Japan, UAE, and India. Over the past 18 years, I have completed more than 20,000 successful tutoring hours (and still counting).
As an academic coach, I am versatile in my approach. Most students are visual learners, and recognizing this, I utilize molecular models accessible via webcam to elucidate chemical concepts such as molecular reactions, balancing, molecular shapes, and reaction mechanisms. Additionally, I employ screen sharing to present animation videos, and simulations when applicable, facilitating quicker and enhanced comprehension and retention of these concepts.
With an extensive knowledge base in the subject I tutor (having been consistently among the top in my class in both High School and University), I ensure that lessons are interactive rather than one-way. Throughout the tutoring sessions, I engage students with related questions and frequent quizzes to gauge their understanding and identify any topics that may require revisiting. I actively encourage students to ask questions, fostering a dynamic and participative learning environment.
Patience is a key attribute of mine, and I personalize the curriculum to cater to the individual needs of each student. As a friendly and patient teacher, I encourage students to unleash their maximum potential one step at a time. Collaborating with me is sure to be a pleasant and rewarding experience.
