Hi there! I'm Mia, and I come from Chengdu, a city in southwestern China that's famous for two things: giant pandas and hot pot. Every time I talk about my hometown, I can't help but think of the sizzling, spicy hot pot and those adorable, bamboo-chewing pandas. If you ever visit Chengdu, I highly recommend going to the Panda Base and trying out an authentic Sichuan hot pot—it's an experience you won't forget! I truly love teaching. Right now, I'm teaching English to two 9-year-old boys. Through spending time with them, I've come to realize that language learning doesn't have to be serious or stressful. In fact, a relaxed atmosphere and genuine conversation are the best "teachers." That's why my teaching style is very natural and easygoing—it's just like chatting with a friend. You don't need to be afraid of making mistakes or worrying about your pronunciation. In my class, mistakes are not only allowed, they're actually great opportunities to learn and improve! Outside of teaching, I have a lot of other passions. I love food—whether it's a famous Chengdu snack or a specialty from another region, I'm always eager to try it. I also enjoy watching TV dramas, especially those with engaging stories and vivid characters. And I love traveling—seeing new places, meeting different people, and gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures. All of these experiences help me become a better teacher and a more open-minded person. In my class, I hope you won't just be a "learner," but a friend who is willing to share and express yourself. You can talk about the food you love, the drama you're currently watching, or an interesting experience you had while traveling. Just speak up—even if it's not perfect. That's totally okay.
