Welcome to My Economics Classes
Hello! My name is Dawodu Olusola Tosin, and I am an Economics educator who is passionate about helping students understand Economics in a simple, practical, and enjoyable way.
Welcome to my class! My goal is to create a learning environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions, expressing their ideas, making mistakes, and learning from them. I understand that Economics can sometimes appear difficult because of unfamiliar terms, theories, diagrams, calculations, and exam-style questions. However, with the right guidance and approach, Economics can become one of the most interesting and understandable subjects.
My classes are interactive, student-centred, practical, and exam-focused. Rather than simply giving students notes to memorise, I encourage them to understand the reasons behind economic concepts. I use everyday examples, real-life situations, discussions, questions, illustrations, and practical applications to make lessons easier to understand and remember.
I focus on both knowledge and examination skills. We work through past questions, learn how to interpret questions correctly, structure answers effectively, use appropriate economic terminology, analyse data, draw and explain diagrams, and manage examination time. I also regularly assess students’ understanding so that I can identify areas that need more attention.
I believe that every student can improve with the right support. Therefore, I adapt my teaching approach according to each learner’s ability, pace, strengths, and areas for improvement. Whether you are a beginner who is just discovering Economics or an advanced student preparing for an important examination, I will meet you at your level and gradually help you progress.
Beyond academic results, I want my students to develop confidence, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply economic knowledge to real-life situations.
My classes are not just about completing a syllabus; they are about helping you become a confident and independent learner.
