About me

Hello, my name is Michelle. I am a level 5 Ofqual certified teacher of English as a foreign language(TEFL) and also have level 7 qualifications in Advanced Grammar for TEFL and for Teaching Special Educational Needs. I studied English at the University of London and am currently pursuing a Master's in Applied Linguistics at the University of Birmingham in preparation for becoming an item writer. I have taught English privately for over twenty years alongside a career as a copy editor, and I have a full fibre internet connection. My approach to teaching is about achieving your personal goals with measurable learning. I find great pleasure in teaching on a one-to-one basis and aim to keep lessons relevant to your goals. My knowledge of syntax and applied linguistics, as well as my professional qualifications as a proofreader and copy editor, make me an eligible teacher with regard to a consistently high standard of English grammar. I also possess additional certifications in grammar and teaching grammar from UCL. I am especially experienced in teaching for the Cambridge and IELTS exams and have relevant and up-to-date resources for these.
