About me

Hi there! :) My name is Marta. I am a PhD candidate and a Graduate Teacher Assistant with more than five years of experience in the higher education sector (University). I am currently a researcher at the University of Cambridge, so my classes will be online :) -English classes Before each class, you will receive hyperlinks, texts, and I will also correct the homework we do (don't worry, there won't be many, and we can adapt it to your needs). We will speak in English to maximize your practice with the language in my classes. I like to teach the language changing different aspects (conversation, reading, grammar and semantics) in the same class and relate them to aspects of the culture of the different countries and to current socio-political events. Finally, I can prepare you for all official exams (Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL, etc.) or interviews. -Catalan classes I teach my classes in Catalan to maximize your practice with the language. However, I can also communicate in Spanish, English, and French if necessary. I will teach you grammar and vocabulary and Catalan literature, and we will learn how to do essays. -Preparation for the EBAU of social sciences We will work on critical thinking and academic writing. We will go over all the themes and topics that they might ask you both in the EBAU exams but in your high school. We will practice exams from previous years.
