About me

Hi! I'm Maddie and I am a languages student at Durham University, currently studying French and Spanish. I have been studying French for 8 years, and chose to start studying Spanish at University because I find learning languages so interesting to be able to learn about new cultures. Learning languages is a real challenge, however the sense of achievement you feel by becoming more fluent each day is so rewarding. I am passionate about my subject and would love to share it with you, all whilst helping you improve and achieve your goals. Having completed my GCSEs and A-Levels a couple of years ago, I know how hard it can be to improve in a foreign language when no one else in your family speaks it. That is why I decided to start tutoring, as I wish I had someone to give me extra support when I was preparing for my exams. Having achieved excellent GCSE and A-Level grades, I know the importance of hard-work and truly believe you can achieve anything you put your mind to. Therefore, I will make it my mission to improve your confidence and self-belief by instilling the idea that hard work really can get you anywhere, and anything is possible!
