About me

Hi! My name is Jess. I was born and raised in Madrid and moved to the UK where I lived pretty much all over the country throughout the 14 years I lived there. In the UK I obtained my Cambridge C2 and level 5 TEFL qualification to teach students English as a Foreign Language. I’ve been teaching English for the past 4 years online and in person, helping with Cambridge, Aptis & Escuela Oficial de Idiomas exam preparation, though all the levels from B1 to C2, including English preparation for Oposiciones, as well as helping students improve their speaking fluency in English to a native level. In the UK I worked for big corporations which has given me a good background to teach Business English too. My husband is British, and English is the only language spoken at home, so you can be rest assured you’re being taught by a native level Teacher. My goal is to keep students challenged, but not overwhelmed. I assign homework after every lesson and there is always an element of conversation practice in my lessons.
