The student can become a teacher for a moment by helping his or her partner, and in addition to instructing the other, reinforces their own knowledge. I am in favor of dynamic language learning, prioritizing oral expression, trying to maintain at all times, if not a fluent conversation, a constant dialogue in English with the student.
