I am Folajimi Romade, a seasoned TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) instructor, ready to join this dynamic platform. With five years of teaching experience as an English language teacher, my mission is to nurture language proficiency, foster cultural appreciation, and cultivate global communication skills in diverse learning environments. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resource Management, which I earned from the University of Calabar in 2018. This educational foundation has instilled in me a profound respect our world’s diverse culture and environment. I also hold a 120-hour TESOL/TEFL certificate. In addition to my role as an English Language Teacher, I've worked as a freelance Examination Invigilator for the British Council since 2021. This role involves overseeing various student examinations, such as IELTS, IGCSE, GCE A Levels, GCE O Levels, Checkpoint, and professional exams like CIPS, ACCA, and TKT. It's a role that demands strict adherence to protocols, ensuring candidates have a fair and smooth testing experience. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued. I'm committed to adapting my teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and backgrounds, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
