About me

My name is Fernando Cortés and I was born and raised in New York to Spanish parents. I'm a native English teacher with TESOL certification (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and a Philology major graduated from the City College (CUNY). PROFILE -Experience giving private lessons for over 10 years -Preparation for official qualifying exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAE/CPE, IELTS, TOEFL). I should add that all my students who have sat for these exams have passed. -Preparation for qualifying exams at the Official Schools of Language (EOI). -Phonetic correction, preparation and development for a job interview with international companies. -Students with a high level of English can practice and work on fluency, communication and pronunciation. -Preparation with students who work abroad, who travel for work, or who would like to work or study in an English-speaking country. My teaching methodology is based on interaction, constant dialogue and practical learning. I use a wide range of teaching resources, from traditional textbooks to modern technology, to keep my students committed and motivated on their learning journey.
